Project Governance

The governance structure of the Project is now well established and benefits from five years of common work. It entails:

  • A core group, including high-level management of ICMC, the Project Manager and the ILO Special Advisor for Socio-Religious Affairs as an advisor. Its role is to ensure the smooth implementation of the Project, in particular coordinating project implementation and smooth delivery of agreed outputs, global communication, project administrative and financial management.
  • A global Coordination Committee comprised of two representatives from North America, one from Latin America, one from Europe, and one from Asia, in addition to the core group members. The role of the global Coordination Committee is to provide overall guidance and support for the design and implementation of the Project.
  • An Advisory Committee provides input and guidance to the Coordination Committee: in particular, it helps to define topics and issues for further consideration, advise also on partnership organisation and management. It helps to promote and advance relations with the Five Regional Working Groups which bring together a balanced representation of all organisations involved in the Project with the aim of defining and implementing the overall global roadmap of the Project while, at the same time, ensuring the involvement of grassroots organisations and communities in all aspects of the work.
